Inverurie Whisky Shop have recently acquired a 9 seat mini-bus and are launching a website this week with the main aim of promoting Aberdeenshire Whisky.
Focussing on the Secret Malts of Aberdeenshire, a scheme launched by VisitAberdeenshire, Inverurie Whisky Shop have three areas of the region they are focussing on; Garioch, Gordon and Deeside, incorporating the wonderful whisky the area provides. Glen Garioch, Glendronach, Glenglassaguh, Knockdhu, Fettercairn and Royal Lochnagar all feature in our tours, which can be found at: www.whiskytoursofscotland.co.uk.
They have also collaborated with local hotels; Thainstone House, Meldrum House, The Black Bull Inn and the Ardennan House Hotel to offer a variety of accommodation options for visitors to the area. With the castle trail and fantastic coastal road Inverurie Whisky Shop are able to show off the entire region with their bespoke tours option. All inclusive tours start from just £60 per person.
Inverurie Whisky Shop also had a recent collaboration with Thainstone House Hotel for their first Gin Dinner. A four course dinner was prepared by the chefs at Thainstone and we paired each course with a Gin to match the flavour profile of the food. Nearly 100 people attended the event, where Inverurie Whisky Shop owner Mike Stuart gave a presentation on each gin, as well as an insight into the current gin boom, the history of gin and some interesting facts on the Gin Industry.
Although called the Inverurie Whisky Shop, in reality they are a premium drinks retailer covering more than just whisky, including gin, rum, beers and wine. The second Gin Dinner has already been booked in for September, Friday 15 and is filling up fast.
