Aberdeen-based Northwood North East Scotland is celebrating after scooping the accolade of Estate Agency of the Year at the prestigious Herald Property Awards.
The team at Northwood North East overcame stiff competition from competitors throughout Scotland to win the title in recognition of ‘an Estate Agency that has gone the extra mile for their clients’ and are ‘innovative in their approach to customer service methods, business trends and marketing’.
Founded in 2009 by Laura Mearns and her husband Steven, Laura took over the full-time running of the company in 2013. Fast forward 10 years and she has successfully grown a ‘people and community’ focused business, which now has an award-winning team of 12 and offices in Aberdeen and Inverurie, as well as a growing presence in surrounding areas including Banchory, Aboyne, Ballater, Ellon and Stonehaven.
With a growing annual turnover, Laura took the decision to build on the company’s success and formally launched the estate agency part of the business in 2020, unveiling its newly branded personalised service, Bespoke by Northwood, in May this year for those looking to sell their property.
Laura said the award was a testament to Residential Sales Manager Ali Clark and her team, whose hard work over the past three years had successfully grown the Bespoke brand and increased its market share through its strong office and online presence.
