With only one week to go until the North-east Tourism Conference in association with Loganair, VisitAberdeenshire is gearing up for a near sell-out attendance for the event, being held at P&J Live on Tuesday November 19.

This much-awaited event, organised and hosted by VisitAberdeenshire will bring around 200 tourism professionals in the North-east of Scotland together for a day of networking, learning and looking forward to 2025.

Hosted by BBC Scotland journalist Fiona Stalker, the conference focuses on three essential themes in the tourism sector: ‘Our Visitors’, ‘Our People and Businesses’ and ‘Our Place’.

Double GRAMMY award winner and North-east native Dame Evelyn Glennie will share her unique perspective on the importance of a listening culture in tourism, and what steps businesses can implement to ensure a fully inclusive welcome for all.

New VisitScotland CEO Vicki Miller will also highlight her priorities for the sustainable growth of Scottish tourism.

Also included in the line-up of speakers is Donna McHugh, head of revenue and sales at Loganair, and Rebecca Brooks, managing director of Abbey UK and UKinbound chair, providing insight into what inbound visitors are looking for from their visit to Scotland and the North-east.

Chris Foy, CEO, VisitAberdeenshire, said: “The celebrated return of the North-east Tourism Conference aims to empower local tourism businesses with the tools and insights needed to adapt and thrive in an evolving industry.

“Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn and reflect on what will be an incredibly thought-provoking day. Join us in shaping a brighter future for regional tourism.”
