Openreach has announced the appointment of Gareth Lonie as its new policy and public affairs manager for Scotland and North of England.
Gareth comes with a huge amount of experience with recent roles being at Drax, where he led external affairs in Scotland, successfully running energy sector campaigns with ScotGov, the UK Government, and regulatory clients.
He has also represented the Association for Consultancy and Engineering, advocating infrastructure and the built environment for its 400 members.
Additionally, Gareth has provided guidance to HM Treasury at the National Infrastructure Commission (now NISTA).
More recently, he worked in Australia for TG Public Affairs and the Consumers Health Forum of Australia.
