P&J Live is set to welcome delegates from more than 50 countries to Aberdeen from June 23 to 25, 2026 for the inaugural Global Agritourism Conference, with an innovative food and drink offering that will place Scotland’s farmers, fishermen and producers centre stage.

Working closely with Scottish Agritourism and event organisers Abbey Conferences, the venue has developed menus across the three-day conference that will showcase produce sourced directly from more than 20 farms within the Scottish Agritourism community, alongside fresh fish from the Aberdeenshire fishing sector.

More than 90% of the menu will be sourced directly from named farms and producers across Scotland, including fresh salads, herbs, vegetables, soft fruit, cheese, eggs, Scotch Beef, Prime Scottish Pork, ice cream and home baking. Delegates will also be introduced to the stories behind the produce, with information shared throughout the event about the people, farms and landscapes responsible for each ingredient.

The conference is expected to attract around 600 delegates, with more than 300 visitors taking part in pre-conference tours to 40 agritourism businesses across Scotland, offering first-hand farm-to-fork experiences before arriving in Aberdeen.

As part of the event’s hospitality offering, P&J Live will also showcase Scotland’s drinks industry during evening receptions, including a civic reception and gala dinner, where delegates will enjoy Scotch malt whisky, Aberdeenshire gin, Scottish beers, ciders and lemonade.

Steven Daun, Head of Association Sales at Legends Global, P&J Live’s venue management company, said: “We are really pleased to have successfully bid for and secured this international conference. It is a real privilege for P&J Live to host the inaugural Global Agritourism Conference and to work alongside Scottish Agritourism to create such a unique culinary experience for delegates visiting Aberdeen from across the world.

“Scotland is home to one of the finest natural larders anywhere, and this event gives us the opportunity to celebrate not only the incredible quality of Scottish produce, but also the people and stories behind it. Our chefs have worked closely with local farmers, growers and producers to create menus that truly reflect the richness and diversity of Scotland’s food and drink offering.

“We are especially proud that delegates will have the opportunity to meet many of the producers whose ingredients will later appear on their plates. That direct connection between producer and consumer is something very special and aligns perfectly with the values of agritourism.”

Caroline Millar, Sector Lead of Scottish Agritourism and Chair of the Global Agritourism Conference, added: “As a farmer, it has been a pleasure working with the chefs and team at P&J Live, and Abbey Conferences, to bring the vision for this event to life. Delicious lunch and dinner menus will feature many of the farmers that conference delegates will visit or meet, ensuring that this is a truly unique dining experience.

“For example, delegates will visit Forest Farm Dairy to see the dairy cows and learn how ice cream is made, and they will visit Castleton Farm to see strawberries, raspberries and blueberries growing. They’ll meet the farming families, hear the stories of the land and the processes behind the final products, and later enjoy those same products served at the Gala Dinner.

“We hope this conference leaves a lasting legacy and encourages more direct sourcing and named produce partnerships across venues and events in the future. We are extremely grateful to the Scottish Government for supporting the conference and helping us showcase Scottish food and drink from the agritourism community.”

Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs Gillian Martin, said: “Scottish agritourism has real long-term potential. It offers visitors a genuinely high-quality, authentic experience rooted in farming, food and drink, while also helping to secure the future of Scotland’s family farms. At the same time, it supports rural communities and strengthens Scotland’s place on the global stage as a leading agritourism destination.

“It’s about much more than just food and drink - experiences like these help people connect with where their food actually comes from, highlighting the importance of supporting local Scottish producers and cutting down on food miles.”

Greg Carew, Director at organisers Abbey Conferences, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Scottish Agritourism on the upcoming Global Agritourism Conference in Aberdeen. Hosting this prestigious international event at P&J Live provides the perfect opportunity to showcase not only Scotland’s world-class conference facilities, but also the best of Scottish farms and farm produce which forms an important part of the event.

“Abbey Conferences are proud to be working alongside P&J Live, local stakeholders, industry partners and the wider tourism community to deliver a truly memorable global event, which we have no doubt will leave a lasting legacy for agritourism in Scotland.”

Laura Wilson, Head of Aberdeen Convention Bureau, said: “Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire are the natural home for the inaugural Global Agritourism Conference because our region combines a world-class food and drink heritage with a deeply rooted agricultural industry and an exceptional visitor experience. From family-run farms and craft producers to innovative rural tourism businesses, this is a destination where agriculture and tourism work hand in hand to create authentic, sustainable experiences for visitors from around the world.

“Our expertise in diversification, hospitality, and rural enterprise, alongside our stunning landscapes and strong community spirit, makes the North-east of Scotland an ideal place for global leaders and innovators in agritourism to come together, share ideas and shape the future of the sector.”
