In a generous display of partnership, the third ‘P’ of P3 Business Care, Founder, Jim Grimmer, was delighted to join the team at Borr Drilling Aberdeen recently. Through P3's unique personal and proactive model of employee support, dedicated Business Partners Jeannette MacKay and Howard Drysdale, facilitated a compassionate response to a challenging situation.
P3 Business Care is an organisation that brings personal, proactive, partnership support to employees within the corporate business environment, working in close collaboration with employers. Their P3 Business Partners are committed to caring, listening, and assisting staff members facing personal challenges, including issues related to relationships, family, addictions, illness, and work-related stress. Their care is also extended to immediate family members.
Recognising the importance of proactive care, P3 Business Care goes beyond the traditional Employee Assistance Programme by visiting businesses, usually twice a week, ensuring that the support is continuous and readily available. The organisation's engagement with Business Partners significantly reduces absenteeism, staff turnover, and promotes overall employee productivity, ultimately contributing to increased business profitability.
During their twice-weekly visits to Borr Drilling the P3 Business Care team identified a need to support employees who had sadly experienced bereavement, both recently and during the Covid-19 pandemic. P3 partnered with Doreen Miller, Area Manager of Cruse Scotland, who was invited to provide valuable insights and guidance through a series of informative "lunch & learn" sessions. This initiative sought to assist employees in navigating the complex emotions and challenges associated with grief.
One of the remarkable highlights of the visit was the recognition by Shaun Keating, IT at Borr Drilling that the team at Cruse Scotland would benefit from upgrading their laptops. Recognising the significance of Cruse Scotland's role in supporting the workforce, he personally handed over two laptops to be utilised by the Cruse team. These laptops will undoubtedly be an incredible blessing to the staff, facilitating their crucial work and enhancing their efficiency.
Jim Grimmer expressed his gratitude, saying, "This collaboration truly embodies the essence of the third 'P' in P3: Partnership. We are privileged to have dedicated professionals like Jeannette MacKay and Howard Drysdale, who exemplify the impact of our personal, proactive, partnership approach in supporting employees through difficult times. P3 Business Care's commitment to proactive care and collaborative engagement allows companies to demonstrate that they genuinely care for their employees. I founded P3 because I know from my 45-year career in business, people matter.”
P3 Business Care's involvement at Borr Drilling Aberdeen exemplifies the organisation's mission to provide not only vital support but also to forge meaningful partnerships within the corporate sector. The commitment to proactive care and personal attention continues to prove instrumental in fostering a healthier, more productive work environment.
