Leading auctioneering company, Thainstone Specialist Auctions (a division of ANM Group) held their most recent and largest online sale of the year, consisting of plant equipment, machinery, and commercial vehicles at Thainstone Centre on Wednesday July 21.
Mark Barrack, head of Thainstone Specialist Auctions, said: “We are delighted to have conducted our largest Thainstone online collective sale to date. The unprecedented volume of lots seen is a positive step forward as restrictions begin to lift and once again, we have seen a high demand from buyers resulting in a fantastic sale rate success. The live online auction featured an entry of 2,206 lots and achieved an excellent sales rate of 86.3%. A timed online auction of builder’s equipment featuring a consignment of offshore specification equipment also met strong trade. Over 700 online bidders from across the country participated in the sale, with the support of an auctioneer alongside the live online bidding ensuring the best and fairest price on the day for both buyers and sellers.”
Strong prices were met across all categories with a 2014 Case Magnum 315 Four Wheel Drive Tractor reaching the top price of £49,500, followed by a 2011 JCB 3CX wheeled excavator selling for £26,700 both from the tractors, telehandlers and plant equipment section. From the small plant and ground care section, a 2016 JCB VMT 160-80 roller reached £8,000 and a McHale F550 round baler sold for £14,000 in the implements and machinery category. The light commercials and 4x4’s section saw a 2017 Peugeot boxer 335 professional L3H2 van achieve £12,600. A 2013 Volvo FH540 6x2 rear lift sold for £19,600 in the lorries and HGV trailers category, and finally the trailers and containers section saw a 2009 SDC curtainside artic trailer achieve £6,000.
