The North-east has received a major housing boost as Ogilvie Homes buys the stalled Countesswells development and funding is secured for the Jack Nicklaus Ury Estate golf course, homes and supermarket.
The Countesswells site hit the buffers when Countesswells Development Limited fell into administration in 2022, but Ogilvie Homes has now bought over the project and pledged to "push ahead", the P&J reports.

Construction began on the site back in 2015 and almost 1,000 homes have been built already, and that figure could now triple following the Ogilvie Homes' takeover of the project, which was completed for an undisclosed fee.
