Aberdeen Performing Arts, chief executive Jane Spiers said: “We are delighted to be announcing new shows for both HMT and the Music Hall. It’s been such a pleasure to welcome artists back and we’ve been blow away by our audiences. It just gets better and better. In this season we are beyond thrilled to be welcoming the absolute icon that is KD Lang to the Music Hall and disco legends Sister Sledge.

“At HMT a personal highlight for me will be Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. It’s the musical that the whole world is talking about - it’s bright, energetic, soulful and straight from the West End, where it has had rave reviews – and who can resist the nostalgic charm of Oor Wullie – sure to be a hit with audiences of all ages!”

The smash-hit and critically acclaimed West End musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie comes to His Majesty’s Theatre. With an original score of catchy pop tunes by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells and writer Tom MacRae (Doctor Who), this brand new musical will have everybody talking about Jamie for years to come. Sixteen: the edge of possibility. Time to make your dreams come true.

The Broadway and West End production of Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s smash-hit musical On Your Feet is the inspiring true love story of Emilio and Gloria and charts their journey from its origins in Cuba, on to the streets of Miami and finally to international stardom. The show features some of the most iconic pop songs of the era, including Rhythm Is Gonna Get You’, ‘Conga’, ‘Get On Your Feet’ and ‘1-2-3’.

Jings, Crivens, Help Ma Boab! Scotland’s cheekiest, spiky haired scamp Oor Wullie is back! Only question is; where’s his bucket?! Join Wullie, Fat Boab, Soapy Soutar, Wee Eck and the rest of the Sunday Post gang, in a brand new musical adventure celebrating their 80th anniversary.

Inspired by true events, the two-time Oscar-winning movie The Exorcist has thrilled generations the world over since its release in 1973. Internationally renowned and multi award-winning choreographer and director Wayne McGregor CBE has been at the forefront of his field for 25 years, producing choreography that interrogates life through the experience of the body. Now McGregor turns his attention to the body as archive, with a dance portrait illuminated by the sequencing of his own genome. In a continuous re-imagining, Autobiography is constantly reinvented; the order of the dance pieces algorithmically-assembled from a collection of 23 choreographic volumes which unfold uniquely at each performance.

Passion, glamour, love worth dying for – Anthony Besch’s Tosca has it all. In 1940s Rome, in the shadow of Mussolini’s tyrannical rule, the ill-fated lovers come to life against a backdrop of political corruption and intrigue. This superb production is beloved the world over – don’t miss it as it comes home to the Scottish Opera stage.

Sunny, funny and with more ‘tra la las’ per square inch than any other opera in the canon, The Gondoliers is a joy from start to finish. Don’t miss this fast, furious and fun production.
