A new high-end champagne bar is set to bring a taste of Azerbaijan to Aberdeen city centre.
Signs have appeared for "Gourmet Boutique" at 156 Union Street which has lay empty for 10 years.
The new venture, launched by Asma Group and headed by Ulkar Bruce, will offer speciality foods alongside premium wines and champagnes from around the world.
Planning documents submitted last year revealed the shop will combine a delicatessen with a luxury drinks offering that promises customers “a taste of Azerbaijan”.
The news comes just one day after plans emerged for another champagne bar to open only a few doors away at 150 Union Street.
