Aberdein Considine has strengthened its Lender Services Practice Group (LSPG) with the appointment of a new Partner.

Zarvin Vandrewala has been appointed a Partner in the firm’s Banking Litigation team (part of LSPG) and will be working with clients across the UK.

He has over 11 years of experience dealing with complex litigation matters, advising financial services organisations on a range of issues.

Zarvin, who will join the LSPG team based at Aberdein Considine’s office in Leeds, moved from Ascent Legal having qualified with Ascent’s sister firm Irwin Mitchell in 2012.

His roles with Ascent Legal included being appointed as Solicitor, Team Manager, Operations Manager and most recently Senior Associate Solicitor. Zarvin also previously worked at BW Legal in Leeds where he undertook the role as Supervising Solicitor.

Zarvin’s career has covered a range of disciplines and he managed Ascent Legal’s secured and unsecured standard teams as well as being appointed Operations Manager for telephony services.

The appointment of Zarvin is a further demonstration of Aberdein Considine’s growth strategy, with the firm making significant investments in mergers, new senior hires and infrastructure during the last 12 months

Myra Scott, Partner and Head of LSPG said: “Zarvin brings a wealth of experience and we’re delighted he has agreed to join our banking litigation team in Leeds.

There’s incredible competition for talented lawyers and his commercial acumen and expertise will be a great asset.”

The Lender Services Practice Group, which includes the banking and finance litigation team, represents the majority of UK banks and financial institutions, including Royal Bank of Scotland, Nationwide Building Society and Lloyds Banking Group.
