Sentinel Subsea, a leading provider of subsea well integrity monitoring solutions, has announced a refreshed brand that reflects its rapid growth, global expansion, and evolving mission.

The update marks a new chapter for the company, driven by success over the past two years and growing demand for its innovative, passive technologies.

Since its founding six years ago, Sentinel has become widely known across the industry - so much so that most people now refer to the company simply as “Sentinel.” With projects and clients in countries including Brazil, Australia, the USA, the UK, and the UAE, the brand refresh is a response to both customer feedback and the company’s expanding role in subsea integrity management.

The updated identity includes a new look, clearer messaging, and a more confident tone. It’s designed to reflect Sentinel’s core mission: to deliver Asset Integrity Confidence through simple, reliable, and sustainable technologies. The brand refresh will help reposition Sentinel beyond decommissioning, highlighting its ability to support subsea assets from development through to end-of-life.

Sentinel’s technologies are fundamentally reshaping the subsea integrity monitoring landscape by eliminating the need for powered subsea systems, real-time communications, or complex infrastructure. Its proprietary Passive Trigger Technology is the only one of its kind in the market, enabling the WellSentinel™ and SAFE Disc™ solutions to detect hydrocarbons or other emissions with no active power, reducing costs and simplifying deployment.

Driven by shifting industry needs, Sentinel’s R&D strategy continues to evolve, placing customer collaboration and emerging environmental priorities at the forefront. A key area of development is Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), where Sentinel’s passive technologies are being adapted to help monitor abandoned wells that pose risks in long-term CO₂ storage. These solutions provide viable, risk-based options for CCS Monitoring, Measurement, and Verification (MMV) strategies, addressing gaps where traditional systems fall short.

Neil Gordon, chief executive officer of Sentinel, comments: “Our brand refresh is more than a new look – it’s a reflection of how far we’ve come and where we’re going next. We’ve listened carefully to how our customers view us, what they value most, and how we can continue to support them with simple, effective, and sustainable solutions. The result is a brand that truly aligns with our mission to deliver Asset Integrity Confidence and reflects our commitment to innovation across the full lifecycle of subsea assets. This is a pivotal moment for Sentinel, and we’re excited to move forward with a renewed identity that will support our ambitions on a global scale.”

As Sentinel continues to grow internationally, it works closely with local partners to ensure its solutions meet regional regulations and operational requirements. Looking ahead to 2025, the company plans to scale its core technologies, expand further into the CCS market, and strengthen its portfolio of passive monitoring solutions.
