The BB14 charity is delighted and thankful to have concluded the inaugural Business Masters tournament.
The tournament, open to teams from the North-east and which supports local cause BB14, concluded with Serica crowned as winners. The 7-a-side tournament was open to all businesses across Aberdeen City and Shire and was being supported by Aberdeen Football Club and P&J Live.
The tournament held a Champions League-style group phase with matches played at AFC’s Cormack Park, and with semi-finals played at Balmoral Stadium. The event’s final was held on the Scottish Masters pitch at P&J Live prior to the main event that saw an Aberdeen win for the team captained by Dons legend Russell Anderson.

Event details
The inaugural BB14 Business Masters ran from September with teams being signed up through August and early September. The pioneers who joined the BB14 cause were Serica, Altrad Sparrows, Wood, TAQA, Katoni Engineering and Apollo.
The final was a hotly contested event between Serica and Altrad Sparrows with a 3-2 result in a tight game. The event raised £6,000 and importantly achieved the aims to raise funds and test a new North-east based tournament for businesses. The organisers have promised to make next years event even bigger and better with the same charitable aims.
The Masters was the brainchild of Martin Allan, BB14 chairman, and there is a real chance that next year the event can be partially held at the Ben Bradford pitch that the BB14 Charity is planning to construct.
The support of Masters Football and P&J Live, along with AFC has been critical. Rob Wicks of P&J Live was delighted with the event, commenting: “We’re so happy to have been able to support the BB14 Masters.
"This, along with their large-scale charity dinner in October 2025 with over 850 attendees, have demonstrated the importance of the BB14 charity and their aims to local people in the area.
"To be part of their success is an honour and we’re hopeful we will be working together in 2026 but plans for that remain top secret!”This event offered local businesses a unique opportunity to play at Cormack Park too."
This was special for so many of the teams and gave exclusive access to the place where many of their heroes play too.
Alan Burrows, chief executive of Aberdeen Football Club, said: “Aberdeen Football Club sits at the heart of the region and our city and through the power of football we continue to try to support the people in our community who need us most.
"We were therefore delighted to support the team at BB14, offering tournament participants the unique opportunity to play their matches at Cormack Park.
"As a club we will continue to do our best to deliver economic, social and cultural success for the North-east and we look forward to supporting BB14 with their charitable initiatives in the future."
Concluding the event Martin Allan commented that he was pleased with the tournament and held high hopes for the future too.
He said: “Ben loved football and Aberdeen is a city that loves football too. We are so thankful to the teams at Cormack Park, P&J Live and Masters Football, together they made the event so special for so many.
"To see local businesses support us was an honour and shows that even in challenging economic times the North-east is a generous and giving region. I’m now looking forward to the 2026 version and to see if Serica can defend their title.”
