A leading Aberdeen-based PR and events company has joined forces with one of the country’s premier names in hospitality to celebrate a corporate milestone by announcing a series of new sessions.
To mark the 35th anniversary of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts’ and the company’s Aberdeenshire roots, Granite PR has uplevelled its portfolio by adding a trio of new networking options which will take place at two historic North east properties.
With Macdonald Norwood Hall Hotel to host free Business Builder Dinners and monthly Granite Growth Breakfast sessions, Macdonald Pittodrie House Hotel will be the setting for frequent Shire Connections lunchtime discussions which all aim to bring businesses together for networking, connecting and knowledge sharing opportunities.
With the inaugural meetings of all three already successfully completed and positive feedback received, attention is now turning to a renewable energy-focused Granite Growth Breakfast at Macdonald Norwood Hall on June 5th, and a midsummer networking barbecue at Macdonald Pittodrie House Hotel on June 21st.
Speaking at the inaugural Shire Connections lunch, Provost of Aberdeenshire Judy Whyte said: “In the past six months alone, our economic development team has supported more than 180 businesses and distributed more than £240,000 in funding to help them start, grow and thrive.
“If we all work together to create a stronger business network, we’ll do what all great businesses do – understand needs; solve problems; build trust and deliver value through products and services that help to make Aberdeenshire an even better place to live, visit and work in."
Granite PR founder and managing director Brett Jackson added: “Our events are renowned for creating opportunities for learning and discussion, and the addition of these new possibilities for businesses to come together is a natural extension of that long-standing reputation.
“By offering these gatherings free of charge, we hope to make them accessible to as many business representatives as possible and we look forward to facilitating generous provision for networking and discussion in the months ahead.”
Macdonald Hotels & Resorts’ regional managing director Ivan Franssen added: “Our company has a long and proud history in the local hospitality sector, and we are delighted to be helping to open up important platforms for businesses to engage with each other in two such beautiful settings.”
