Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has made a key appointment in its residential valuation team in Aberdeen with the recruitment of Paul Delaney as an associate.

A graduate of Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh in 2004, where he earned an Honours Degree in Building Surveying with Building Pathology and Property Valuation, Delaney specialises in residential survey and valuation work, including Home Reports, for a range of private, and corporate lender clients.

With extensive experience of the residential property market in Aberdeen and the North-east, where he is based, Delaney joins from Harvey Donaldson & Gibson Chartered Surveyors having previously held the position of senior associate.

Of his recent appointment he said: “This marks my happy return to Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, where I worked for a spell earlier in my career, and I’m delighted to return to the team to help bolster and grow the firm’s position as the leading provider of residential property services to the housing market throughout the North-east.

“I am very much looking forward to rekindling old client relationships and forging new relationships with fellow professionals working in the property market.”

Welcoming him back to the team, Stuart Dunne, managing partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: “Paul is a very experienced surveyor having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor back in 2010. We are delighted to welcome Paul back to Shepherd, and to our busy Aberdeen office.

“His extensive knowledge and expertise will be of great benefit to his colleagues and clients as we consolidate our position as the predominant provider of Home Reports and surveying services throughout Aberdeen and the North-east.”
