Shepherd sells former car showrooms in Perth and Aberdeenshire

Acting on the instructions of car dealership Arnold Clark, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has sold former showroom premises in Perth and Aberdeenshire.

A former showroom with development potential at St Leonards Bank, Perth has been sold to Network Rail for expansion of the railway station yard for £950,000.

Prominently located on the fringe of Perth city centre, St Leonards Bank is adjacent to the main line railway station and close to the main bus terminal. The car showroom and workshop facility with external car parking, display and yard provides 10,560 sq ft accommodation on a one acre site.

Jonathan Reid, partner at Shepherd, said: “We’re delighted to secure this sale on behalf of our client to Network Rail following much interest in this attractive accommodation and site in Perth.”

Meanwhile, a former showroom in Kemnay, Aberdeenshire has been sold to Safelift Offshore, a supplier of offshore lifting equipment, for an undisclosed sum.

The former car showroom and workshop facility, together with large areas of car parking and ancillary yard, provides 30,821 sq ft accommodation on a 6.8 acres site.

James Morrison, associate – commercial agency at Shepherd in Aberdeen, added: “We’re pleased to secure the sale of this former showroom to an established offshore lifting equipment supplier after the expression of much interest in this opportunity.”
