People across Aberdeenshire are putting their best feet forward for terminal illness charity Marie Curie, signing up to the Kiltwalk Aberdeen in June.
Taking on the 26 mile Mighty Stride/ 13 mile Big Stroll/ 6 Mile Wee Wander, the group are looking forward to joining thousands of participants across Scotland walking for their chosen charity. In addition to the funds they raise Marie Curie will benefit from an additional 40 percent donation thanks to the support of The Hunter Foundation.
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading charity for people living with a terminal illness. Money raised will help Marie Curie provide expert care, guidance and support to help people living with a terminal illness and their families. In Scotland Marie Curie provided care and support to over 8,600 people last year.
Marie Curie, community fundraiser, Susan Walsh said: “The Kiltwalk is a fun event bringing people together in some of Scotland’s beautiful scenery to help raise vital funds. We’re so grateful to our walkers for choosing to support Marie Curie. We would love to have some more local companies put a team together and help raise vital funds for local Nursing Service. Donations are vital to us, enabling us to reach more people who need support at the end of their lives, as well as helping their family members.”
