Signal were excited to head over the pond recently for drilling company Noble, headquartered in Houston, as they filmed the brand new Noble Operational Risk Management Support (NORMS) Centre, which uses the latest remote technology to monitor their offshore installations around the world.

NORMS was purpose-built to ensure safe and efficient management of their critical operations, reducing operational shutdowns. Lessons learnt on operations at any of the installations can now be rapidly shared throughout the company, to improve safety across their rigs worldwide.

Signal’s film crew flew to Houston, Texas where they spent two days filming the team onshore at the NORMS Centre and interviewing key personnel. They then flew to New Orleans and onwards to the ‘Valiant’ drillship in the Gulf of Mexico, to film a wide range of operations and see what NORMS looks like from the offshore end.

Back in the edit suite, Signal combined the onshore and offshore scenes with motion graphics, to emphasise Noble’s global reach and the real time transfer of important data around the globe.

The resulting ‘NORMS’ film is a testament to Noble’s commitment to excellence and continual improvement. It is the first in a planned series that will promote the benefits of NORMS to potential clients, partners and Noble’s internal workforce, to raise awareness amongst Noble’s global workforce.

Noble has been at the forefront of the energy industry for over 90 years, and this is the third time Signal have worked with them, and are delighted that once again they have been trusted with promoting such an important investment in Noble’s future.
