Fountainhall at the Cross (Albyn Place) will welcome Robin Michael and Rolf Hind for a cello and piano concert as part of the Sound Festival that will be taking place in Aberdeen this week. Rendez-vous in the Sanctuary at Foutainhall at the Cross this coming Sunday, October 29 at 2.30pm.

sound is a new music incubator based in north-east Scotland which encourages new music creation and discovery. Apart from the annual sound festival in October, Sound organises year-round activity supporting a wide range of composers, engaging with local communities and providing educational opportunities.

The performers invited to play at the Cross on Sunday 29 October are Robin Michael (cello) and Rolf Hind (piano) who will be presenting a recital of 21st century British cello and piano music. From the searing intensity of McLeod’s ‘Song of Leda’ written for Michael, the mystic lyricism of Hind, rhythmic hypnotism of Cutler and finally the wild dramatic soundscapes that Macmillan conjures, this concert will showcase the virtuosity of this long standing duo collaboration.

During the last few years, Fountainhall at the Cross (formerly known as Queen’s Cross church in Albyn Place) has been selected as one of the festival's venues for their central location and exceptional facilities and acoustic.
