Subsea7 has appointed Hani El Kurd as the Senior Vice President of UK & Global Inspection Repair and Maintenance (IRM), effective from August 1, 2024.
Hani joined Subsea7 in 2023 and was previously the UK & Global IRM’s Projects and Operations Director. Hani succeeds Steve Wisely, who will become Subsea7’s Senior Vice President for Subsea and Conventional.
Hani El Kurd, who is based in Aberdeen, has over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector as an executive leader of projects, operations, and strategy. Before joining Subsea7, Hani was based in Dubai where he held multiple positions over the majority of his career with Lamprell Energy.
Most recently, he served as the CEO of one of their joint venture companies, and prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations.

Hani has gained extensive experience managing multiple large projects for oil and gas and wind companies across the global energy sector. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
