Super Human Heroes comes to Aberdeen

As part of the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival on-tour programme, the world premiere of children’s show Super Human Heroes comes to The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on Saturday, May 25 ahead of its opening at the Festival the following week.

Created and performed by Scottish theatre company The Letter J, Super Human Heroes is a comical and musical dance with darkness, exploring the ways we are, fail and try to be super human heroes. This poignant 50-minute show, featuring live music, dance and video projection, offers a version of the world where even Captain Sunshine is overwhelmed by the challenges of the day. He's tired of being sunny - being good, funny, loving, smart - tired of playing the part.

Through singing and silence, Super Human Heroes reminds us of the importance of communicating and listening in our relationships with others. Sometimes we have high expectations of others and ourselves, but we can't be heroes all the time. It's ok to be human!

Funny and touching, Super Human Heroes will entertain and stimulate children aged 8 to 12 years and families.

A brand new show for young people, Super Human Heroes was commissioned by Imaginate (Scotland) and is supported by the Scottish Government’s Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund and the Paisley Arts Centre.

Tickets cost £8.80 and available from www.aberdeenperformingarts.com
