Due to the high demand for tickets for TEDxAberdeen, organisers
have arranged a live stream of the one day event from Aberdeen Arts Centre to
the Net Zero Technology Centre, Queens Road on Saturday, November 12.
Covering a diverse range of topics
including social acceptance and inclusion, racial integration, keeping language
alive, resistance to change, re-thinking values, and societal conditioning,
attendees will be treated to a series of thought-provoking talks delivered by a
roster of 10 local speakers. Each speaker will share their interpretation of
the TEDxAberdeen 2022 theme of ‘movement’.
TEDxAberdeen volunteer Claire Bolland
comments: “We were overwhelmed by the response for tickets, we had more than
three times the number of ticket requests than tickets available so being able
to provide a second venue to watch the event is fantastic.
“Our speakers have been working hard
on their talks and I was lucky to sit in on their dry run this week - they are
incredible. Each speaker is providing a fresh perspective to motivate our
audience and challenge their existing thinking. It’s an eclectic mix of topics
but they all illustrate this year’s theme of ‘movement’. We can’t wait to see
our speakers in action.”
Claire adds: “We have only 40 spaces
left so act quickly to secure your place.”
Tickets for the live streaming event
at the Net Zero Technology Centre cost £15 per person which includes access to
the live stream screening featuring 10 speakers from across the North-east
community, lunch and refreshments.
