The Archie Foundation is looking for thrill seekers to leap into action and sign up for its Highlands abseil challenge at the iconic Dunrobin Castle, in Golspie.
Daredevil fundraisers will descend from the castle’s tallest tower - a vertigo-inducing drop from one of Scotland’s most dramatic and historic landmarks.
This will be the final opportunity to abseil from the castle, making it a true once-in-a-lifetime experience.
All equipment and expert guidance will be provided by the experienced team at Active Outdoor Pursuits.
Registration for the abseil costs £50, and participants are encouraged to fundraise for The Archie Foundation through their own fundraising pages. Spaces are limited to 50, with a waiting list available once capacity is reached.
All proceeds from the event, taking place on Saturday, September 27, will go towards delivering vital support and services to babies, children, and families across Grampian, Tayside and the Highlands.
Neil McGregor, business development and fundraising manager – Highlands at The Archie Foundation, said: “The abseil is a fantastic event that combines the thrill of adventure with the joy of making a difference. Previous abseil events have raised thousands of pounds for Archie, and we hope this will be another successful fundraiser. It’s wonderful to see our community come together to support our cause, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who participates.”
Scott Clark, general manager of Dunrobin Castle, said: “We are delighted to support The Archie Foundation’s abseil, with the skilled and highly qualified Active Outdoor Pursuits team delivering the event on the day.
“Our last event three years ago saw an incredible amount raised and loads of positive feedback, from those who have never abseiled before to experienced adrenaline junkies – hopefully even more money will be raised this year, all towards a very worthy cause.”
