Integrity HSE is hosting an Institute of Directors (IoD) event entitled 'The Importance of Workplace Mental Health for Directors' on Wednesday, August 28 at Maryculter House in Aberdeen.

The exclusive lunchtime gathering will run from 11:30am-2pm and will provide lunch to an audience of delegates made up of existing IoD members, and those that are interested in joining the UK's oldest organisation for professional leaders.

The purpose of this event is to engage and inform Aberdeen’s company directors, senior business leaders and entrepreneurs on the legal and economic case for proactively managing mental health.

This discussion is increasingly pertinent in today’s market, with research from Deloitte (2024) revealing the real cost to employers from mental health in the region of £51bn per year, with £24bn of that figure accounted for by presenteeism.

This event will involve a mix of media, presentations and workgroups facilitated by Steven Harris Managing Director of Integrity HSE and Shabnum Hanif Integrity HSE’s Director of Clinical Psychology.

The content has been created to ensure that the delegates will leave with a far better understanding of their legal duties, as well as the measures that they can put in place to yield up to a £4.70 return for every £1 spent on addressing mental health.

This showcase event is free to IoD members, but it does carry a modest charge of £10 for those who would like to attend AND are interested in becoming IoD members.

Members and others are being encouraged to book fast as it is anticipated this event will sellout: The Importance of Workplace Mental Health for Directors -28 Aug 2024 | Business Events | Institute of Directors (iod.com)
