Trinity Centre gear up for annual ‘One Great Day’ event

Roll up, Roll up… The Trinity Centre will be hosting a carnival themed family fun day in aid of ‘One Great Day.’

One Great Day is a series of family and community charity events being held to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH), and other locally based children’s health charities. Participating shopping centres will provide a special family fun day for local communities across the UK, whilst raising money for a number of great causes.

One Great Day was established in 2014 and has so far raised over £400,000 for more than 90 different children’s health charities across the country.

As well as GOSH, The Trinity Centre has chosen to fundraise for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), who provide care to children who have been diagnosed with a life-shortening condition and are dedicated to support every single member of their families. They help parents and children celebrate their lives together – and to honour their memory while they’re gone. They do this through their hospices, home care services and hospital presence, CHAS provides palliative care, family respite and support throughout Scotland including dedicated bases in Aberdeen and Inverness.

The Trinity Centre has supported this fundraising campaign since 2015 and has raised just under £6,700 towards GOSH and other local children’s charities.

The Centre’s One Great Day will consist of lots of carnival fun including Carnival stalls such as Hoopla, Tin Can Alley and Hook a Duck, Face-painting, Glitter Braid Bar, Candyfloss + Popcorn supplied by Wowzie, Circus Workshop, Arts and Crafts and much, much more.

Linda Stewart, general manager of The Trinity Centre, comments, “We are absolutely delighted to be a part of One Great Day for another year. Hosting an event like this gives us the chance to help support the wonderful work CHAS and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity do.

One Great Day is about community engagement and raising money for a number of great causes, but it is also a fantastic opportunity for families in the area to get together and enjoy a fun day out whilst spending quality time together.”

The Trinity Centre’s One Great Day will take place on Saturday June 30, kicking off from 12pm until 4pm. Follow the centre on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram for the latest information and join in the fun by clicking the link’s below;
