Aberdeen-based IT managed service providor TYCOM has deepened its commitment to youth safety and wellbeing by supporting the Denis Law Legacy Trust through funding for the Tootoot Sport safeguarding platform.
Tootoot Sport is a confidential reporting app that empowers staff and young participants to raise concerns in real time, helping ensure a safer environment across the Trust’s flagship Streetsport programme. TYCOM’s contribution enables the Trust to maintain this vital digital tool, which complements their broader safeguarding efforts.
In addition to the Tootoot subscription, TYCOM has:
- Donated funds for defibrillators, now installed in Streetsport vans and available across Aberdeen city for use at Streetsport sessions.
- Provided bespoke uniform for staff and volunteers
- Offered meeting space and volunteer hours to support internal operations and fundraising
Mark Williams, COO of the Trust, praised TYCOM’s generosity, noting that their support helps create safer spaces for hundreds of young people who engage with the Trust’s free sport and creative activities each week.
Alistair Findlater and his team at TYCOM have supported the Trust for over a decade now in several different ways, their commitment to our work has been incredible and this continued support for our reporting platform shows this.
Managing director at Tycom Alistair Findlater said: “Extending our backing of this kind of support was an easy decision for us, Denis Law Legacy Trust do great work in the city for young people and its important they have the tools to do the job, as an IT company it made sense for us to help in this way, we are delighted to be able to do this.”
