VisitAberdeenshire’s latest Quarterly Business Monitor results show some promising trends starting to emerge in terms of trading and visitor profiles returning to pre-pandemic levels.

In line with VisitAberdeenshire’s previous industry surveys, the majority of responding businesses – just over 7 out of 10 – were shire based.

A number of respondents stated that the volume of visitors from elsewhere in Scotland was what they would have normally expected for this time of year, pre-Covid. When asked about future enquiries and bookings, visitors from elsewhere in Scotland were again featuring strongly. 6 in 10 businesses were optimistic about the future, particularly the next three months and further ahead to the next 24 months.

Concerns remain about rising operational costs and the impact of the increased cost of living on consumer travel plans for the year ahead.
