Global training provider Well Academy is set to deliver its first accredited introductory drilling course in Westhill in October.
The International Well Control Forum (IWCF) Drilling Well Control Level 2 course will be held in the Well Academy and ModuSpec training centre in Westhill from Monday 13th to Thursday 16th October.
The four-day course provides delegates with a basic understanding of the fundamentals of maintaining well control in drilling operations.
Suitable for those unfamiliar with drilling and workover operations looking for a basic introduction to well control, it covers comprehensive well control theory, allowing candidates to learn how to apply this knowledge to most well control situations.
In addition to IWCF drilling well control and well intervention programmes at all levels, Well Academy delivers ModuSpec rig equipment courses, including the Rig Inspection Workshop and Well Control Equipment Course.
Also announced recently was the introduction of two new courses – Stuck Pipe Prevention & Recovery (17th to 19th October) and Extended Reach Drilling – High Operations (10th to 11th November).
