Aberdeen-headquartered Wood has secured a new long-term agreement with Aramco to support major capital projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The five-year deal, which includes an option to extend by a further three years, will see the engineering and consulting firm provide engineering, design and project management services across oil and gas, refining, petrochemical and lower-carbon hydrogen developments.
The latest award strengthens a relationship between the two companies that stretches back more than three decades.
It follows Wood’s 2024 contract win to support Aramco’s Southern and Northern Areas gas increments project, which forms part of Saudi Arabia’s plans to increase gas production.
Nick Shorten, Executive President of Projects at Wood, said: “This agreement reinforces our position as a trusted delivery partner for Aramco and reflects our long-term commitment to supporting Aramco’s energy portfolio.”
Wood employs around 900 people in Saudi Arabia and has enjoyed strong momentum in the Middle East, securing around $1 billion of contracts across the region during 2025, with work in Saudi Arabia making a significant contribution.
