Creative printer, XIC, has published a Marketing Report detailing trends and ideas for marketing professionals to support their 2023 strategies.
The 16 page report follows a survey which was conducted within the North-east marketing community and uncovers interesting insights and inspiration, as well as advice from XIC and industry experts within the region.
Delving deep into core trends around creativity, channels and the challenges that marketing teams are currently facing, statistics highlight top priorities within the sector and reveal key services that are outsourced, such as web design, print and PR, as well as insights into how to spend additional budget effectively.
External contributors include Mark Kemp, managing director of brand and design agency, FortyTwo Studio and Steph Eady, co-founder of digital marketing agency Mission10. Both Mark and Steph comment on the results, advising on the power of a strong brand identity and how even in a digital world, there is still a place for print to cut through noise.
Murray Alexander, managing director at XIC said: “As specialists in design, print and display, we spend a lot of time supporting marketing professionals with their creative requirements and often end up acting as an extension of their team.
“These well-established relationships add value to our own resources and work, so we initially commenced this project to add value back to our loyal customer base through targeted expertise and inspiration.
“The final report should be viewed as a helpful guide. Unsurprisingly, budget was a massive constraint for many respondents and its one I imagine resonates with everyone. We felt it was important to not only highlight common themes within the sector, but advise on how these can be broken down or overcome.
“We’ve launched this at a time when many teams are finalising their 2023 strategies after mapping them out in December, and hopefully it’s a tool that can add perspective and ideas to current and future activity plans.”
Aiming to provide a full overview of the marcomms industry in the North-east, the results feature respondents from a variety of sectors including energy, IT, marketing and media, professional services and automotive and transportation.
