Aberdeen Football Club has announced that Non-Executive Director Zoe Ogilvie will step down from the board following her retirement and relocation to Perthshire.

Zoe joined the board in June 2021, becoming the first woman to serve as a director of Aberdeen Football Club.

During her five years of service on the Board, Zoe has made a significant contribution across several areas of the club, sharing her extensive experience in communications, marketing and corporate affairs.

Her tenure on the board coincided with an important period in the club's recent history, navigating the challenges of COVID, delivering commercial growth, winning the Scottish Cup in 2025, and playing in UEFA group-stages twice for the first time in almost two decades.

Chairman Dave Cormack paid tribute to Zoe, saying: "I’ve known Zoe for 26 years and was delighted when she joined the board as our first ever female director. Zoe has been a trusted colleague and friend, and her advice and experience have been invaluable.

"With her retirement from BIG Partnership and her move to Perthshire, Zoe felt this was the right time to step back from board duties as she begins the next chapter of her life.

"On behalf of everyone at Aberdeen Football Club, I would like to thank Zoe for her commitment over the past five years and wish her and Bill every happiness for the future."

A highly respected communications professional, Zoe enjoyed a career spanning more than 30 years in the UK and overseas. After eight years with Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, she co-founded BIG Partnership, helping grow the business into one of the UK's largest independent PR and marketing agencies outside London.

Zoe said: "It has been a privilege to serve on the board of Aberdeen Football Club over the past five years but, having now fully retired and moved away from the city, I’ve made the difficult decision to step down.

“I have wonderful memories of over twenty years’ involvement with the club, initially as a consultant and latterly on the board. I've been fortunate to work alongside so many dedicated staff, fellow directors, supporters and sponsors who care deeply about the Club and I wish everyone connected with Aberdeen Football Club every success in the years ahead."
