Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), has strengthened ties with the region’s leading business membership organisation, Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC), becoming a Premier Partner with the business network.
AECC, managed by SMG Europe as of April this year, has a long-standing history of working with AGCC; the two notable Aberdeen organisations have taken their relationship to the next level committing to work closely on future projects; with a focus on business in the area and increasing business tourism within the region.
Seona Shand, head of membership at Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted that AECC has become a premier partner following a long standing relationship as a member. The AECC is an important player in the region with a large influence which extends far beyond the North-east and we look forward to working in close partnership to support the organisation as it prepares to move to its new purpose-built home in 2019.”
Adrian Hunter, interim chief executive at AECC, commented: “We are keen to foster strong associations within the Aberdeen business community; working closely with city partners is paramount to us. We have a great working relationship with the Chamber currently and are looking forward to uncovering the benefits this new partnership will bring both to the venue and the city.”
