An Aberdeen beauty entrepreneur is set to appear on the next series of BBC’s The Apprentice, competing for a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar.
Roxanne “Roxy” Hamedi will feature in series 20 of the programme when it airs later this month. The 30-year-old, who now runs two beauty businesses in the Granite City, has described herself as a “fiery, sassy pocket-rocket”.

Ms Hamedi is the founder of Browtasia and North Aesthetica on Schoolhill. A former pharmacist, she studied for five years to achieve a master’s degree before launching her businesses.
She has also described herself as “charismatic, caring, unafraid of risks, and never embarrassed to be her goofy, authentic self”.
The new series will see her compete against 19 other candidates in a series of business challenges, judged by Lord Sugar alongside Baroness Brady and Tim Campbell MBE.
The Apprentice returns on Thursday January 29 at 9pm on BBC One, with the opening episode filmed in Hong Kong. The series will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
