Founded in 2010, Nimbus Blue is an Aberdeen-based IT managed services provider that specialises in strategic IT management and cyber security. The company recently launched its Ask the Cyber Guys event in Aberdeen.
David Tawse, managing director at Nimbus Blue commented, “We’ve grown organically in the last 18 months, adding 2 new team members whose roles have helped us scale the business.”
The company, who recently gained ISO 27001 accreditation in Information Security and expanded its managed services to include Dark Web monitoring, launched its Ask the Cyber Guys event on November 1st at The Village Hotel in Kingswells.
David explained, “It was very exciting to get the Ask the Cyber Guys event up and running. It gives the attendees a unique opportunity to benefit from an open discussion about cyber security and steer the conversation in any direction. I also learnt a lot and it’s interesting to hear about the specific concerns local businesses have."
The panel of speakers included Kyle Torres of Sophos and Robbie Ross, Cyber Crime Liaison Officer at Police Scotland. About the event, Robbie noted, “this was a great event giving businesses the opportunity to ask the questions about cyber-security that they have always wanted to, but never had the chance.”
Ask the Cyber Guys will be a quarterly event with its next instalment planned for 27th March, 2020.
