Fiona Heinonen said: “It’s a refreshing moment to be joining AUSA in its 25th year. I’m looking forward to the next chapter and working hard on behalf of students. AUSA plays a vital role in the local community and the wider regional economy, and I’m excited to build stronger connections with partners, businesses, and community organisations. We want to deepen our engagement across the city, protect important student spaces like Union Brew and ensure AUSA continues to evolve and thrive for the next 25 years.”
Student President said: “We are delighted to welcome Fiona Heinonen as our new chief executive! I'm excited to be able to work with her and continue our progression. The Students' Union is such an important organisation and with her network in the charity sector in Aberdeen, we will hopefully be able to make closer ties to the wider community in Aberdeen.”
