Asthma and Allergy Foundation, Scotland’s only dedicated asthma and allergy charity, is marking a significant period of achievement and celebrating the successful attainment of its ISO 9001:2015 certification, alongside the continued expansion of its CPD-accredited and eLearning training courses.

Under the leadership of Martina Chukwuma-Ezike, The Chief Executive Officer, the Foundation has strengthened its commitment to quality, clinical integrity and accessibility in education and training. The successful ISO 9001 certification confirms that Asthma and Allergy Foundation’s quality management systems remain robust, effective and aligned with national and international standards.

This milestone reflects the organisation’s unwavering dedication to embedding quality across all areas of it work. The ISO 9001 certification was made possible by the dedication, hard work and unwavering commitment of the organisation’s Head of Services and Health Promotion, Vicki McGrain Rae. Vicki’s expertise as Head of Services ensure that Asthma and Allergy Foundation’s services remain evidence-based, consistent and scalable, while continuing to grow in reach and impact across workplaces, universities, schools and communities.

The ISO 9001 accreditation underpins the delivery of the Foundation’s expanding training portfolio, including its CPD-certified Allergy Awareness and Adrenaline Auto-Injector Training, alongside the Asthma Certified and Asthma Awareness eLearning Training. These training courses are designed to improve safety, confidence and positive outcomes for individuals, employers and frontline staff responding to asthma and allergy emergencies.

Speaking about the achievement, Vicki McGrain Rae said: “This has been a hugely rewarding period for our team. Successfully completing our ISO audit while continuing to grow our CPD and eLearning training demonstrates how deeply quality is embedded in everything we do. Our focus is always on equipping people with the knowledge, confidence and skills to manage asthma and allergies safely and effectively. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.”

Commenting on this milestone, the organisation CEO said “Vicki has been instrumental in embedding a culture of quality and excellence across all aspects of our work. Her commitment to quality has strengthened our training programmes and the confidence our stakeholders place in our work.
