Leading travel management company ATPI celebrated a year of significant growth and achievement as its Aberdeen team welcomed more than 100 clients and partners to its annual Dazzle at the Douglas event.
Hosted at the Douglas Hotel in Aberdeen, the evening brought together customers and industry partners from across Scotland and beyond, recognising the new and long-term relationships that have shaped ATPI’s success in 2025.
This year marked several major global milestones for ATPI, including its acquisition by Direct Travel - a move that has strengthened the organisation’s global scale and enhanced the value it delivers to clients worldwide. ATPI also published its second sustainability report, reaffirming its commitment to responsible travel by compensating 100% of its operational carbon footprint.
On a local level, the Aberdeen team celebrated a series of important developments and achievements. Nicola Reith stepped into the role of general manager, Scotland, succeeding Zara Higgins following her move to Saudi Arabia as head of energy. After more than 18 years with the company, Gemma Lobban succeeded Nicola as operations director. In addition, Lauren Durno was appointed head of sales, Energy UK, further strengthening support for the UK energy sector.
The team also received recognition at the prestigious Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA) Sparkle Awards 2025. Mel Thomson, Global Partnership Manager, was shortlisted for Corporate Account Manager of the Year - an award she went on to win. In addition, Karen Donald, Senior Business Travel Consultant, was named a finalist for Team Player of the Year.

Reflecting on the evening, Nicola Reith, general manager, Scotland, said: “The evening was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on what has been an exceptional year for our team, our clients and our partners. The milestones we’ve reached, both globally and here in Aberdeen, are the direct result of the strong relationships we’ve built and the trust our clients place in us every day. They are equally a testament to our incredible team, whose dedication and expertise continue to drive our success. This year has given us real momentum as we look ahead to 2026, and we remain committed to raising the bar, delivering even greater value across the energy sector, and driving progress through collaboration, innovation and shared ambition.”
As ATPI looks ahead, the company remains focused on strengthening its global footprint, enhancing service excellence, and championing sustainability while continuing to deliver trusted, client-centred travel management solutions.
