Cala submits plans for new cults development

CALA Homes (North) has submitted a planning application to Aberdeen City Council for a new residential development in Cults.

The site, located north of Kirk Brae, would comprise 82 homes and lead on from the leading housebuilder’s current Cults Park development in the highly desirable suburb.

The land is part of the Friarsfield allocation in Aberdeen City Council’s Local Development Plan and is the final phase of the Friarsfield Development Framework.

Since May 2014, 160 homebuyers have moved into their CALA home in Cults across its past and present developments in the area.

Ross Maclennan, Land director at CALA Homes (North), said: “We have submitted plans for a collection of homes north of Kirk Brae in Cults. The new development would be the latest in a carefully planned out series of CALA sites in the area, including the current Cults Park and Craigton Mews developments.

“Not only are these two neighbourhoods continuing to flourish but we’ve built strong relationships with the local schools and businesses through our commitment to investing in Cults and look forward to supporting the area further.

“We look forward to receiving a decision from Aberdeen City Council in due course.”
