The Cornerstone Foundation, the charitable arm of Scottish care provider Cornerstone, has secured the support of a leading fashion retailer for the second year in a row.
John Lewis, which has recently launched its much anticipated Christmas advert, will support the charity’s ‘Fizz Friday’ fundraising event in March next year.
The annual ladies’ event will be taking place for the fourth year at the Trinity Hall in Aberdeen on Friday, March 9 and will feature a fashion show curated by the Personal Styling team at John Lewis.
Guests at the glamorous gathering will have the chance to enjoy a glass or two of fizz along with a two-course meal followed by live entertainment and the John Lewis fashion show.
The proceeds from the event will allow The Cornerstone Foundation to transform the lives of children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, dementia, mental health problems and other support needs.
Lisa Duthie, leader of The Cornerstone Foundation, said: “We are delighted that John Lewis enjoyed supporting our Fizz Friday event last year and has agreed to partner with us again.
“The money raised will enable us to do some amazing things for the people we support across the North-east of Scotland.”
The Aberdeen branch of department store giant, John Lewis, will be showcasing the looks of the season, with items modelled by local women.
Ariana Feroz, personal stylist at John Lewis Aberdeen, said: “We are delighted to be providing the fashion for this year’s Fizz Friday event. We will be showcasing our new spring 2018 collections including brands and styles available exclusively at our store.
“We loved being part of last year’s hugely successful event so we’re really looking forward to supporting The Cornerstone Foundation again in 2018.”
There are opportunities available for local businesses to get involved in Fizz Friday by sponsoring the event or hosting a shopping stall on the evening. Those interested should contact The Cornerstone Foundation’s fundraising coordinator on 01224 256023.
