Glencraft is delighted and proud to be the mattress and divan supplier to the new Granary Lodge Bed and Breakfast on the grounds of Castle of Mey in Caithness, the late Queen Mother’s holiday home, which opens its doors to guests this month (May).

Prince Charles has recently renovated the Castle’s old grain store into an exquisite B&B of rooms and suites. The project was a partnership between The Princes Foundation and The Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust (of which the Duke is president) alongside the Dovecot Architecture and Design.

The team at Glencraft provided 10 luxury mattresses and divans for the luxury guest rooms for the Bed and Breakfast located near the shoreline overlooking the Pentland Firth, just a few metres away from the Castle of Mey itself. The luxury development is designed to pay tribute to the Castle of Mey’s royal history.

Lucy Gilmore from the Telegraph had this to say about the Glencraft mattress:

“The indulgence in the bedrooms is incredible. The Glencraft bed from Aberdeen was dreamy, the pillows marshmallow soft”

Open all year round, the rooms at the Granary Lodge start from £145 per night.
