GROUNDBREAKING START FOR GRANDHOME AS CALA’S FIRST PHASE COMES TO A CLOSE

With only five properties remaining, the first phase of CALA Homes’ hugely exciting Grandhome development in Bridge of Don has proven incredibly popular with families looking for their dream next step and first time buyers. The housebuilder has sold 62 homes since the first phase launched, with 45 homebuyers now fully settled in this newly blossoming community in, one of the first adopted by the Scottish Government’s Scottish Sustainable Communities Initiative.Promising a thriving new neighbourhood, CALA was the first to break ground on the landmark development with a collection of 71 luxury townhouses, semi-detached and terraced homes as well as stylish, modern one to two bedroom apartments.

A single apartment now remains, alongside one four-bedroom Connaught terraced homes, two three-bedroom mid-terraced Allan house types and one three-bedroom semi-detached Beaufort. With approved plans to begin the second phase of the development, this flourishing suburb of Aberdeen is set to continue growing with another 116 homes, as well as new schools, retail space, a health centre, parks and recreational green spaces for families to enjoy.

One of the many who had their hearts set on the highly sought-after area was electronics technician, Richard Walker, who moved to the locale along with his wife Claire and their two young girls. Previously based just a mile from his new three-bedroom home, Richard and his family wanted to lay down roots in a stunning urban location, with convenient access to the Bridge of Don area they’d already become so fond of.Richard, said: “The Grandhome development was hugely attractive as we were embedded in the local community and simply loved the area. When we saw the layout for The Avon, we instantly fell in love and knew we had to have it. It has large rooms, a huge end terraced garden – which is perfect for the children – and a double car port, and we knew this was the home we wanted to live in as a family. It ticked all the boxes.”

“What made things even easier was the service – buying a house with CALA could not have been simpler. The sales team helped us every step of the way which was fantastic as selling your existing home is often a major drawback when buying a new property. The part exchange service from CALA was one of the primary reasons we were able to move home.”

Fraser Carr, sales and marketing director for CALA Homes (North), said: “As the successful first phase draws to a close, it’s been fantastic to see the Grandhome community begin to blossom with new residents already creating a real neighbourhood atmosphere here.

“We have welcomed plenty of families to the area with even more set to move into their homes in the coming months. As there are only five chances for house hunters to join them as part of this phase, we urge those interested to visit our stunning Beaufort showhome or contact our sales reception on 01224 432784.”
