An Aberdeen marketing communications company has made a donation to a charity which is close to its heart.
Jasmine has donated £5000 to the British Heart Foundation (BHF), as part of an ongoing partnership. In 2018, the firm’s business technology division pledged to donate a percentage of its ‘cost per copy’ service and consumable supply revenue to BHF, which is the largest independent funder of cardiovascular research in the UK.
Jasmine has been seriously affected by cardiovascular disease in recent years. Keith Tait, a director of Printagraph before the company merged into Jasmine, passed away in 2012 following a heart attack. Sadly, Keith Adams, Jasmine’s production director, also passed away suddenly in June 2018 due to an undiagnosed heart condition.
Sean Hills, sales director for Jasmine, said: “Our clients use their office printers throughout every working day and we are delighted that a percentage of this everyday spend will help support BHF and its aim to end heart disease.
“Our staff and clients know first-hand what it is like to lose someone to cardiovascular disease, so supporting BHF is an important part of the work we do.”
Kathy McIlwaine, BHF Scotland fundraising manager commented: “BHF funds important research here in Aberdeen, so we are keen to work with local companies who want to help us work towards our goal of a world free of the fear of heart and circulatory disease. This donation of £5000 is very welcome, and we look forward to an ongoing relationship with Jasmine.”
