Leading North-east social care charity Inspire PTL has appointed a new head of development.
Matthew Reid joins the organisation – which provides support to people with learning disabilities and additional support needs – after more than 13 years as Business development manager with Langstane Housing Association.
In his previous role Matthew led on partnership work, project development and funding, as well as supporting a variety of social care organisations and community groups across various sectors, and is looking forward to his new challenge.
Matthew said: “Inspire are an organisation that I’ve long admired for their person-centred approach to providing support and I am delighted to be joining the organisation at an exciting time of growth and as it prepares to mark its 30th anniversary later this year.
“Our first move into the Angus area is an exciting development in 2018, but equally, we will be looking to strengthen and expand our services across the North-east of Scotland and I look forward to growing our business development function to ensure that Inspire’s services are available to as many people with learning disabilities as possible.”
Inspire CEO, Linda Gray, welcomed the appointment.
She said: “Matthew brings a significant skill set and a wealth of Third sector experience with him and will help us identify and develop new opportunities for growth at an exciting and important time for the organisation.”
