Northsound’s own Jeff Diack and Lauren Mitchell of Jeff and Lauren in the morning have come on board as hosts of the Befriend a Child Disco Ball fundraiser, taking place on Friday, February 28, 2020.
Jeff has been an avid supporter and volunteer with Befriend a Child for almost two years and hosted Befriend a Child’s Peter Pan themed ball in 2019 which raised over £32,000 for the charity.

The evening set to be a celebration of both the disco era and the fantastic programmes and projects the charity carries out across Aberdeen City and Shire.
‘This year the aim of our ball is to raise funds for our 1-1 befriending programme. £1000 can pay for a befriender for a whole year for a child in Aberdeen City or Aberdeenshire and this year businesses and individuals from across the North East have already stepped up in a big way be donating lots of amazing prizes to our ball prize fund,’ – Sarah Misra, CEO, Befriend a Child.
With performances by local, talented groups like Marc Cameron Dance, Inverurie based band Glitz set to take place throughout the evening, The Disco Ball is shaping up to be a fun filled night of great disco performances, music and of course fundraising.
Just some of the prizes available include, and so much more. Guests of the Disco Ball and supporters alike have been invited to participate in a silent auction with bidding due to close at 12pm on February 27, and reopen to guests throughout the course of the ball.
