A decade ago, former business owner and helicopter pilot, Bryan Keith, flew Craig to every Scottish city in 24 hours. Craig cooked a dish in each location, raising more than £30,000 for Breast Cancer Care Scotland and Maggie’s. Taking the opportunity to repay the favour and help Bryan tick an item off his bucket list, Craig and Bryan took to the skies for the second time, at the weekend (Sunday, August 26, 2019) on a balloon trip, courtesy of Taittinger champagne, across central Scotland.

Craig Wilson, chef and owner of Eat on the Green said, “Bryan has been a great friend and customer over the years and he’s always been there to support us in our activities to raise money for cancer charities.

“He has had his own struggles with this awful disease and by way of thanking him for his continued support, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to mark ten years since Bryan and I took flight to raise money for charity, by taking him along with me on this memorable experience.

“I prepared a ‘roadside feast’ for Bryan after our flight, using some delicious local ingredients and paired with champagne.”

Craig and Eat on the Green is a committed supporter of local cancer charity Friends of Anchor and has raised over £80,000 over the past three years, through various initiatives and is aiming to raise this figure even higher.

Craig continues, “We will be offering a fantastic VIP champagne experience including a tour of Taittinger champagne house to the highest bidder at this year’s Friends of Anchor Masked Ball. We’re sure this will raise significant funds for this very worthwhile cause, which is very close to my heart.”
