Charlie House, an Aberdeen-based charity that supports babies, children and young people with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions, has received support from a local designer in the form of the creation of a bespoke Christmas card range to raise money for its continued operations.
Local designer, Claire Hamilton of Adelpha Design has designed the range which features three different festive images – a cosy penguin, modern Christmas tree and stylised reindeer.
Susan Crighton, director of fundraising at Charlie House, says, “We launched our own Christmas card range for Charlie House last year which Claire also kindly supported us with and they were a huge hit. She has excelled herself again this year with very different designs which will appeal to all. The purchase of our cards offers the perfect way to not only send festive wishes to your family and friends, but also to support Charlie House at the same time. Buying just two packs of our cards will actually fund one space for a child at one of our activity clubs.”
Susan concludes, “The funds raised by the sales of our cards will go to supporting the on-going activities and support network that Charlie House provides to families in the North-east of Scotland. We rely heavily on fundraising to enable us to offer services to our families such as our annual family short breaks which are invaluable as they enable the entire family network to participate in the same activities, have fun and most importantly, make wonderful memories.”

It is great fun thinking of creative ways to illustrate the cards. I worked closely with the team to come up with the fun and festive designs this year and hope people enjoy receiving the cards in the knowledge that the sales of these are also supporting a local charity.”
