Give us the elevator pitch for your business.
At CBRE, we help organisations create workplaces that work for them. In the North-East, where ageing assets, tightening regulation and the drive to decarbonise are reshaping operations, our engineering‑led model delivers resilience, compliance and efficiency. Through intelligent maintenance, data‑driven asset management and an embedded ESG approach, we reduce lifecycle cost, optimise energy consumption and protect uptime. Our new North Scotland Business Unit, headquartered in Aberdeen, strengthens local capability so operators can improve reliability, meet environmental commitments and move with confidence toward a more sustainable future. We bring global capability with an emphasis on local delivery.
Who are your customers?
In the North Scotland market our clients are primarily energy and industrial operators, along with organisations managing complex commercial estates. Many of these partners have worked with us for years, relying on our engineering expertise, regulatory assurance, and focus on continuous improvement. By working closely with on‑site teams, asset managers, and leadership groups, we provide consistent, reliable services across Aberdeen, the North-East and the wider UK, ensuring every client benefits from a coordinated approach that reflects their operational priorities and the demands of each local region.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
One of our biggest challenges, and biggest opportunities, is helping clients navigate a period of rapid workplace and operational transformation. Organisations across North Scotland are rethinking how they use space, how they maintain assets, and how they deliver services in a world shaped by regulatory pressure, decarbonisation targets, evolving workforce expectations and rising operational costs.
For us, that means supporting clients to transition from traditional models to more data‑driven, resilient and sustainable ways of working. It’s an opportunity to embed smarter maintenance strategies, strengthen compliance, modernise estates, and help clients unlock the long‑term value in their assets while keeping performance strong through every stage of that change.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?
Stay connected. The challenges we each face, such as talent, transformation, sustainability, efficiency, are shared across industries. There’s huge value in asking questions, collaborating, and learning from each other. Don’t underestimate the power of cross‑sector insight, especially here in the North‑East where innovation and practical problem‑solving go hand‑in‑hand.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
For me, it’s the community: a network of ambitious, forward‑thinking organisations that genuinely want to support one another. The Chamber creates opportunities to hear new perspectives, meet potential partners, and stay close to the regional agenda. It’s a place where businesses of all sizes can contribute to shaping the future of the North‑East economy – and we are here to help.
