MISS benefits from Community Council kindness

MISS (Miscarriage Information Support Service) was an unfortunate victim of a cybercrime incident on Facebook in November 2019 when almost £1,000 was taken from the charity’s bank account.

The incident received significant media attention locally and highlighted the impact such a crime can have on a small charity. MISS received many messages of support at the time. Recently, Castlehill and Pittodrie Community Council went a step further and presented Abi Clarke (founder/chairperson of MISS) with a cheque for £300 towards the valuable work of the charity at their monthly meeting!

This funding will be used for information and drop in sessions where new members can find out more about the support available through MISS. Jonathan Smith (Chairperson Community Councillor) and other meeting attendees were also encouraging and offered to support MISS in the future through their communities and contacts.
