Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (Raeburns) is celebrating an incredible fundraising milestone, having handed over an impressive £62,751.24 to Friends of ANCHOR, marking the culmination of a successful two-year charity partnership.

From pounding the pavements in marathons to braving firewalks, taking on rowing and cycling challenges, and hosting a charity gala, the Raeburns team truly went above and beyond to make a difference.

Every mile, every event, and every effort helped raise vital funds for the much loved North-east charity, which provides essential support to people facing a cancer or haematology diagnosis.

By choosing to support Friends of ANCHOR, the team ensured that money raised will make a wide-reaching impact across all of the charity’s key areas: wellbeing support to patients, investment in equipment and research, and excelling clinical excellence.

This partnership held a particularly special meaning for everyone involved. While the charity was chosen for many reasons, it was also selected in support of a colleague who faced their  own cancer diagnoses. This personal connection inspired the team, who came together with remarkable energy and compassion to show their support.

The fundraising efforts has seen staff across all six branches take part in a packed calendar of events, including Run Balmoral, Run Garioch, the Midsummer Happening Sportive, and the Brewdog Sportive. The highlight of the campaign was undoubtedly the firm’s 20th Anniversary Charity Ball, which alone raised over £47,325.65 in an unforgettable evening.

Going beyond fundraising, staff at Raeburns also gave up their time to raise awareness of the charity and its mission. This included inviting the Friends of Anchor team to their Albyn Place head office for a Lunch and Learn session, helping to make up care packs that are gifted to patients at different stages of the treatment journey, and encouraging staff to see first hand the difference their support has made.

Speaking about the partnership, Heather Stephen, Managing Partner and Chairperson of the Charity Foundation at Raeburns said:  “This partnership has brought our teams together with a shared goal - supporting a cause that holds deep meaning for many of us. It reflects the care, empathy, and sense of community that sit at the heart of our firm. We’re proud of what we have accomplished and hope our contribution helps Friends of ANCHOR continue their invaluable work for those who rely on their support.”

The cheque handover took place at Raeburns’ Aberdeen office, where representatives from Friends of ANCHOR joined the team to celebrate the total raised.

Naomi Forrest, Senior Communications Executive at Friends of ANCHOR said: “Over the past two years it has been a real delight to cheer on the team at Raeburn Christie Clark and Wallace for all their various fundraising endeavours. From running challenges, a firewalk and a cross-branch row-a-thon to the spectacular gala last year - the whole firm has backed the cause wholeheartedly - all while doing their busy day jobs too!

At Friends of ANCHOR we rely on support from donors and fundraisers to allow us to keep doing what we do - making sure those in the North East with a cancer or haematology diagnosis feel supported every step of the way. The phenomenal fundraising from Raeburns allows us to do just that.

Their fundraising total is a testament to the effort put in by the team to champion the cause. From all of us at Friends of ANCHOR, thank you Raeburn Christie Clark and Wallace.’’
