Aberdeenshire headquartered Recycl8 has recently awarded membership of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) network.

Their commitment to the Circular Economy has been recognised and commended by the UKGBC, which seeks to improve the sustainability of the built environment, by transforming the way it is planned, designed, constructed, maintained, repurposed and operated.

Recycl8 is known for turning incinerator bottom ash aggregate (IBAA) - often destined for landfill – transforming it into a sustainable, lower carbon component for concrete manufacture.  In doing so, their R8Mix technology helps address the global challenge of reducing CO2 emissions in construction, while fostering the sustainability of construction materials within the Circular Economy.

By becoming a UKGBC Member, Recycl8 joins over 700 organisations committed to driving change in how buildings are designed, built and maintained.  This partnership gives Recycl8 access to a powerful network of like-minded companies, while UKGBC gains an innovative member actively helping to reduce waste and carbon in construction.

Managing Director of Recycl8, Mark Gillespie welcomed this latest accreditation, saying: “We are pleased to become the latest member of the UKGBC organisation. Their commitment to Net Zero aligns with our values here at Recycl8, as does their mission to eliminate waste and maximise resource efficiency within the construction industry. We look forward to future collaborations with our fellow members who are also similarly aligned with these goals.”
